Registering With Us
People interested in applying can apply by mail or in person every Thursday only. We prefer people to drop off their application in person which allows us to meet our prospective extras. To apply, we need a completed application form which you can download from our website and bring with you or we have forms available when you come in on Thursdays. All applicants are required to bring in a recent picture. This could be a snapshot, photo booth picture or a professional headshot.

Hollywood North Extras
To apply in person we will be meeting people every Thursday between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm in the Community Meeting Room at Metropolis Metrotown. It is located to the right of Old Navy, follow the hallway past the washrooms and there is a community meeting room sign above the door. Stephanie, the owner and main agent of the agency will be there to meet you.
Once you have applied we keep your applications for about 6 months. We will either call you to book you based on that application or we might call you to have you come in on a Thursday so we can take your picture which will help us place you. You are not considered to be part of our roster until we have booked you. If we have booked you without haven taken your picture, we recommend coming in as soon as possible to get your photo taken so we can make you active on our sites. If you have applied and it has been more than 6 months we would normally recommend coming in again to reapply.
Please be aware that we have a regular roster of reliable and responsible fulltime people that we have been working with for many years. We try to book new people as often as possible, however that usually means booking 1 new person to 10 experienced people on a set. Don’t be discouraged! When we are busy we are sometimes placing as many as hundreds of people a week!
Please read the Extras Information Sheet and the Dos & Don'ts carefully. Once we book you to work on a set you are a representative of our agency; therefore we ask that only people serious about being a movie extra apply.
Most booking are a one-day commitment, usually taking place during the week Monday to Friday. The day can be very long so it is necessary to be completely available for the entire day. It is usually best when applying to have at least one day during the week free or a flexible schedule. We often do not get much notice when booking scenes, so we are often calling the day before the shoot. This is covered in detail in the Extras Information section.
