Welcome to Hollywood North Extras Inc! We provide extras for most of the film and television productions being shot in and around the Vancouver, B.C. area. In order to be eligible for work as an extra through our agency you must live in the Vancouver or the Lower Mainland area and have a social insurance number or a work permit to work in Canada.

There is no "look" criteria for being an extra. For the most part we need everyday people for scenes that could include restaurants, streets, fairgrounds, nightclubs, courtrooms, weddings, funerals, hospitals, hotel lobbies, train stations, cocktail parties, malls, schools…. the list goes on! We also book specific types with a "look" such as police officers, soldiers, call girls, bums, cowboys etc. At least a few times a year we book for very specific projects, which could include period films such as westerns, the 60's or films set in the future. Most scenes are 20-100 people but a couple of times a year we also need to provide hundreds of extras for huge crowd scenes in stadiums. These can also be a lot of fun. Of course it is also possible to be booked in very small scenes with only the main actors, which can be a very unique experience! In any event, it is a great way to spend the day and see what being on a movie set is all about.
